​fire對大家來說并不陌生，

它最常見的意思就是「火」；

但老外說you‘re on fire，

可不是「妳著火了」，別搞錯！

一、you‘re on fire

on fire確實可以表示「著火」

如：

The car was on fire.

小轎車著火了。

on fire還可以表示：

火辣辣、火燒火燎的 。

如：

He couldn‘t breathe. His chest was on fire.

他無法呼吸。他的胸部火辣辣地疼痛。

fire除了「火」，還可以表示「熱情」。

老外習慣說「you‘re on fire」，

get on可以表示「相處」，

get on like a house on fire

字面意思：像房子著火一樣相處；

三、fight fire with fire

fight fire with fire意思是：

以火攻火，以毒攻毒；
