中文常把外遇、劈腿說成「戴綠帽」或是什麼人「綠綠的」，在英文里可不是 green hat 喔！正確的說法可以用 cheat on 或 two-time。

Henry found out he had been two-timed by his beloved wife.

Henry 發現自己早就被他深愛的妻子戴綠帽了。

而小三或小王又該怎麼說呢？說成 little three 或 little Wang 會笑死人！最簡單的說法就是 The other woman/man.

She is the other woman of our CEO.

她是CEO的小情婦。

「Cross my heart and hope to die.」 這句是在發誓時講的話，在一邊講的時候，說話者還必須配合手指在胸口畫十字，然后舉手掌，掌心向前的動作，后來在口語中往往被簡化為 cross my heart，表示以上所說句句屬實，或是答應的事情絕對做到。
